Description:

This is the first White Paper for Birdsong. It is intended to establish the reason for the Center and the importance of health literacy for communities at large.

Objectives/Goals:
  1. Introduce Birdsong HLCOE to the public in a semi-formal format
  2. Make the case for health literacy as a critical initiative for community and personal health and highlight evidence, game-based learning as a solution
  3. Make the case for multi-stakeholder engagement for community wide health literacy initiatives
  4. Introduce the concept of the "Tree" and the "Nest"
Target Audience:
  1. Philanthropists
  2. Academic and not-for-profit community leaders
  3. Business leaders
  4. General public
Key Talking Points:
  1. Anchoring to proof that health literacy should be a priority
  2. Addressing the importance of health literacy to improving community health
  3. Establish the Birdsong HLCOE approach to support proven and innovative solutios
  4. Outlining how we do that Tree/NEST (note there are some changes to the NEST since it was last created by Kevin they are on Canva and check with Roni for the right version

We are waiting on Dr. Milt Brown to make his edits to this and we have asked him to expedite. After his edits, the paper goes to Tom for input. I am not expecting significant changes, but it is challenging to get everyone to respond. If it makes sense, you can start to work on layout. We probably should have a call about it.
